standing a little taller

Although this is a difficult story to tell, I fully understand that things could be much worse.  Like any other test, we face it with faith and do our best to endure it well.  Not long ago, I discovered that Moof had a significant curve in her lower spine.  We went to see a chiropractor who with the help of several xrays, confirmed that yes it is a VERY significant curve.  Her pelvis is tilted to one side causing several curves in her spine, where it should otherwise be straight.  She isn't in any pain, but time and age will undoubtedly change that.  So we had two options...Metal Rods or Shoe Lifts.  Gee, which would you choose?  The tilt is such that simple sole inserts would not be sufficient.  Instead we sent her shoes off to a company that adds lifts to the soles.  Hello chunky shoe.  She's standing almost an inch and a half taller.  It's awkward, it's obvious, and it's sad to watch when you're the mommy.  But true to form, our beautiful daughter rises above her circumstance, smiling and making the most of it. Truly standing tall!
